my mom noticed the other day that when my dog barks from the other room Hank makes this identical noise. I didn't believe her until I heard it myself

Also if I make a grunting noise at her she copies it every time(I dubbed it her "annoyed noise")

She can wolf whistle but I guess mimic some things to:confused:
Does anyone else have a girl who does this

I have to say its pretty bizarre
Although its a nice change from the constant single chirp and whistling all day long..little pain in the butt:p

Haha! That's crack-up.

Honey doesn't make any extraordinary noises. Probably because the two boys are a mouthful when it comes to singing. I've just had a thought, though -- since Hank and Skiddles are single female birdies, that must make them capable of expanding their vocabulary all the more. It must benefit their creativity, allowing them to expand their personalities further than a hen who is housed with self-proclaiming males can. Just a thought, it's rather interesting.
I was also thinking the same thing.. being a single female may have something to do with it in the case of Skiddles and Hank.
Either that or she's confused on her gender with the boys name and all:lol:

My new boy Fabiola- I've had him a month. He's hand raised and a lover boy! He loves kisses, pets and scratches. He is SO affectionate- it is amazing. He does not sing kate all. No beak banging, and no heart wings. His DNA came back male. The only time he whistles is if he's alone in his cage, but he is out most of the time. I also have Daisy, a 9 mth old female. She was also DNA tested. They don't have ANY interest in each other.
