That would be annoying, my locks move super easily.

 

I called Featherfarm and they said it's super easy to fix. If I still can't do it they will send me new ones. So I'm still happy.

 

here are a couple of photos of the new birdroom, its not set up properly yet, as i havent moved much to the house yet (myself, my babies, and some clothes,toothbrush etc) and my bedroom is not set up at all, so i have a mattress on the floor on the other side of the room...

ok the budgies have a new cage,everything looks kinda small in these shots, but they are actually quite big the budgies are closed in because Scoundrel is in the room, and i was busy with the camera...
on top of the budgie cage is the cage i got with Scoundrel, its slightly bigger than the normal 'flight cage' i have sitting on top of it(of which i have 6-only 2 are in the birdroom)
then there is the old budgie cage, which now house Onyx&Tak and Kame and Comet... all the birds are let out in the morning, and sometimes i catch the budgies and put them away whyle i let Scoundrel and the tiels play unsupervised (but with me in the next room)

there are 2 budgies in this shot, Minnion and L, playing with the 'breed box toy'

Fang and Cinn now live in the lounge room, in a decent sized cage i got for free off a friend, and Scoundrel lives next to them in Cinns old cage...

its all really basic set ups at the moment... once i have things like a proper bed, and a fridge (living with an esky and ice) i will set the birds up a lot better...

Well it's done. My poor fool (hugs) is separated from his sister using this cage.

This is the cage miss slush is in. I made this choice cause my poor poor fool likes to pluck his sister and i want her back to the fluffy little girl she should be. That's a very old picture of the cage so the set up is a lot different. As of right now hugs still crashes with the non breeding budgies. This is still we order in another black cage. Once hugs own cage comes all 9 budgies (including babies if we get at lease 4) will get the double flight. This way all birds get lots of room. I'm still unsure how to go about setting up the room for all the birds but I'm sure i will find a way. It's all for the best.

 

What kind of cage is that Birdieness? The one Iam getting has a plastic tray but I would rather a metal one.

 

yup. Has a metal tray. i shipping it in from http://www.birdandcage.com/ for about 250 a long while ago. it would prob cost less now that the canadian dollar is worth more. I'm getting another one from this site soon for hugs.

Yes it was 139 when i bought it a long time ago, it's just that that us dollar was stonger which brought it up to like 150 or so and then there was shipping & border fees so it was about 250 in total.

Yes, it's a brilliant cage, I love it. It's so easy to clean and in the summer, he can have one side at the bottom as a swimming pool. LOL.

 

Do you leave the grate in or take it out ??? I leave mine in, because Earl & Little Bill like running around down there!

 

No, I take mine out because Dooby likes running around in the floor litter stuff that I use, he likes to forage a bit, so I usually scatter a few seeds on the floor and he gets down there to play with his ball and some other toys that he has.

 

I bought a new cage for Sawyer when I got here, so I'll post pictures of it soon. Most of the bird toys are still in Calgary with my boyfriend (still waiting on our moving truck), so it looks really empty.

 

i think (pretty sure) i just saw a pic of sawyer on facebook, He was sitting pretty in a christmas wreath.

This is my Oscars cage. When I got it from the store, it said that it was the right dimensions for a cockatiel. He seems to be pretty happy in it

I would give him some different types of perches, variety keeps their feet healthy. Other than that the cage looks big enough.

I think I posted my cage once before - the cage hasn't changed but they have some more toys.
