I'd love to see what type of cage or aviary you have for your cockatiels! It would be helpful to people looking to set up a cage for a new tiel too! :D

This is mine, it's dimensions are 18"d x 30"w x 33"h.

I have Cookie and Bailee in it and they seem to have lots of space, so both them and me are very happy with it.:)

hehe... my guys did take over the room!:blush::D

ignore the mess around the budgie bedtime cage... i had a little 'accident' with a dirty tray...
these photos go right round...

this photo is to show the 'condo' housing my tiels like
i have 2 cages, side by side, with feed/water doors in the side, i pegged them open, so now they run through to the next cage whenever they feel like it!... you can see the grit bowl in the opposite door to the one i shot through

the peg inside...

i always put wood shavings in the catch trays, it makes it super easy to clean...

they love to rest on the doors (also pegged open)

here is one of the 'play' areas... the cage on top is used to transport a sick budgie if needed... but i never open it for the tiels to play... its too cramped... also i have a branch that goes across the room during the day, from the tiel cages to Cinnamarolls cage....

Image

ok... now you can see Cinns cage...
there is a rope/wood ladder to the budgie cage... there are also heaps of palm 'seed branches', which enables them to get to the floor, or to any of the other places... you can also see the branch which leads up to the window ledge, where Minnion, my budgie sleeps during the day :p

Sorry it's blurry. I am using my camera on my phone until I get another digital cam this week.

Edit: My cage looks dull and boring. Anyone give me some tips on how to lighten up (I guess you could say) my cage? >_<

No worries, the pic came out fine. Two questions, what's on the bottom of the cage? And where do their water and food bowls go? Maybe it's me but I can't see them...?
As far as suggestions, add different perches for them. They need a variety of things so those little feet don't get worn out and tired on sitting on the same thing. Some rope perches, pedicure, natural wood ones..etc.

They have newspaper on the bottom of the cage (unless that's a no no, then oops) and they also have a bowl with food and 2 little containers that sit in the cage with food and water. The blanket is around the cage so they don't flick the seed all over the room, even though it's expected since they are birds.

And thanks I'll do that.

That's the first cage i got when i got Cookie! It's a good, large cage. I would toss the dowel perches and go out and find some different size gum tree branches at a park or in your yard (if you're lucky). :D They're free and offer different widths and textures. If you want to leave some leaves on the branches that's fine too, just wash it all before putting it in the cage. Also, put branches from front to back rather than side to side, that way they can jump from perch to perch, or at least have to climb further. ;)

Here's my new cage. Still needs some set up but I'm working on making my own perches.

The only think I don't like about it is how stiff the locks on the doors are. I can barely open them. I'm going to call FeatherFarm and see if they will send me new locks.
