I'd love to see what type of cage or aviary you have for your cockatiels! It would be helpful to people looking to set up a cage for a new tiel too! :D

This is mine, it's dimensions are 18"d x 30"w x 33"h.

I have Cookie and Bailee in it and they seem to have lots of space, so both them and me are very happy with it.:)

Her new cage has finally came! It was such a pain to out together and we ended up taking to my grandads who is great with building things and even he struggled, but Belle's not complaining, she loves it! It's a bit bare at the moment but I'm still saving for more toys!

New digs!

Hopefully this re-sizes itself....

I'm never going back to wire messy cages. Here's the terrarium I have set up for my cockatiels (the budgies have their own now!). Just got it today so I need to put some new toys and stuff in it but they love it already!! MUCH bigger than the last one. When they are done breeding this time around I'm going to figure out a way to get the nestbox on the outside.

Very impressive, clean & neat I would said.

May I know if this is a glass tank you have there?

What about the cleaning part is it easy?

Thanks

It's good for a single bird, along with a healthy amount of out of cage time. Though I would definitely want to go for a larger one for two. The cage itself is well made, easy to assemble, it's pretty darn heavy too! (I dread the days when I have to carry it downstairs for a deep cleaning.) Though since it's on rolling casters and is quite tall, you may want to run to your hardware store and replace them with something with more grip, or anchor the stand to the wall if your toddler is especially curious. :)
Personally, had I known about those Preview Hendrix cages at the time, I would have seriously considered it. Though if you're concerned about space requirements and aesthetics. This one will do the job nicely.

Oh and the zoomed out photo.

Small but its a start

Hey everyone,

Here are a few pics of Nigels cage that we got at petsmart. I already rearranged it today when i cleaned it. He's definitely starting to be more interactive with the things inside now tho instead of just sitting on the perch like he first did :p.

Needless to say his favorite place is on top the cage AND where he becomes the most protective

Some new perches and toys

Hi, I'm sorry that I posted my last cage was in the wrong category.
So here is my cage with some new toys and perches
Please give me some ideas about my cage. Do I need to change or take out anything? How about the bar spacing?
Thanks in advance.

I built this cage. It's 5' wide by 3' high by 2' deep. It's made of 1/2" x 1/2" aviary cloth and aluminum angle moulding with full-length sliding plexiglas doors so the birds don't have to stare at bars everywhere they look. It currently houses my 3 month old sparrows who are to the right - one on the preening ring and the other is to the right of it.

What a great job. huge cage, and also looks good. How much does it cost you? If you can, please share a little bit about how did you build it? :):)
