yes i am hoping it will be big enough for three one day if and when i get another new baby i think im gona get a bit like you lperry, two is just not enough! The cage itself is about a meter tall without the stand, bet saus and spud gona crap 'emselves when i first bring it in here haha

well ill let these two settle into their new cage first, then i just going to keep an eye out really, i would like to get one i know for sure is a boy really! So prehaps one thats a year old or something, would also love hand raised but tiels are scarce in devon it seems so i might have to settle for doing some training again! Its just finding one thats defo a boy in my area thats the trouble :/ i keep checking that gumtree site for ad's, but dont seem to be alot on there!

 

Is there no breeders about near you i do know they are quite hard to find lol

 

i find a breeder about 2 hours away she will have some babies rdy hand raised in a few weeks, shes going to let me know if she thinks any of them are boys !

New cage came today, it is mahoosive, lol its just taller than i am (5ft 2) plenty of room for at least another bird i think....! My cherubs are probably going to take a few days before they will be sleeping in it, sausage has had a peek but spuddys always been a bit of a wimp....and she wont step up on a finger so i dunno how im gona put her in there!

Well they slept in it last night! As soon as sausage spotted the treat stick she was in, followed by spuddy shortly after seeing sausage munching! They are such sheep And today they have actually spent more time in their cage than on their play gym! and the door's always open lol so i guess its a hit some pics!

Sausage always wants what spuddys got! was so funny watching her try to get onto the rope orb, she was spinning it around with spuddy sat on it lol tryin to get to the toy she was playing with.

I brought home Sunny's new cage last night but he was terrified of it so now I have to try and slowly introduce him to the new cage because it is a giant one compared to the one he is in now.

i got the rope swing from ebay its cool isnt it, i saw dallytsuka's home made one which looked great and was going to attempt making one till i saw one on ebay, much easier haha

Here are my cages! (Sokka and Boo gotta be caged seperately -- they're brother and sister, and the last thing we need is those ragin' hormones getting out of control...) Oh! And their playstands, (made by bf Ryan!) where they spend most of their day

We also take that smaller playstand around with us in the house.

Aw, I'd love to have a room just for the birds! Right now, the bird room is also used for yoga, gaming, and music recording, lol.

Here is the cage I found online and fell in love with.
I thought it would provide a ton of room for my cockatiel to move around, play, and for me to place toys/perches/food dishes all around!

 

I have two of those cages for my parakeets. The best price I found was on Overstock.com. I was able to get it for $119, including the shipping charge of $2.95.

 

Yeah, I found it on Amazon for $118 with free two day shipping. I love it. Definitely plenty of room for just my one cockatiel. lol

I agree. With the exception of what toys I bought from the breeder, I bought everything else online. I bought her a big activity center, food, etc.

I live out in the country and the closest pet store is over an hour away so I definitely benefit from buying online..not to mention you can usually find things cheaper.

 

Actually, I have just made my first online purchase on ebay this week. It was $40 cheaper than the same cage in the store.

I have a boing, a long rope perch and two wooden branches so far. What are some ideas for some shorter perches? I don't want to overcrowd, but want it to be okay.
