I love the colour of Romeo's cage What is that box on top of it? Does he go inside it? I would take it away as it could make him hormonal and if he ends up being a girl it could make her want to lay eggs. I would also cut that rope off his toy, he could get tangled up in it. If you could I would get a few more natural perches and some destroy/noise toys ones with bells and wood he can shred. I don't think it's too small, but you might want to save for a bigger one in the future and keep that one as a spare. Arnie's cage looks the same size (she's getting new one soon because she's a monkey and her toys take up too much room, plus we're getting another tiel so it'll be the quarantine cage). Nice seed guard!

I was expecting a littler cage as he said it was a budgies cage but it was big
I had Lucky and cookie in and they looked tiny in the cage still

I got him in that box- He used to go in it at his last owner's home, and she gave it to me to put in his cage. I know for sure that he is male, but should I still remove it? Also, I have a toy in the back with a bell, and a toy up top with one. I'm going today to buy a few more things for him.. I'm excited! ^.^ Me too, I love that purple Oh, nice! What color? I would take the box away, he could see it as a nest box and get hormonal which would not be fun. Not that he would lay an egg but a hormonal tiel is not as much fun.
Thats great that you are getting more stuff, I love shopping for bird things
D.O.G. is an American cocker spaniel, he is a red All I know is he gets caught red handed or pawed all the time, he likes to steal things Here is his pic mabey you know what his colour is called.

Wow, that's an impressive cage! I need to buy Cindy more toys and make her more toys, I want to get some of those rope looking perches.

 

yeah, they are a lot more comfy for tiels than dowelling perches. I am going hunting for some natural branches tomorrow to tie/screw onto the inside of her cage.

I love those cages I have a common white barred open top cage, having only 2 fids myself I wonder if it is pointless getting a bigger cage like yours?

 

If your cage is like my old one and i don't think you should get another one as its so big for the 2 tiels as iv got lucky and cookie in there and there still room

Congrats on the cage, not many people have appropriate cages for cockatiels. This is so much better than the little matchbox cages. I bet your tiel is thrilled.
