I'd love to see what type of cage or aviary you have for your cockatiels! It would be helpful to people looking to set up a cage for a new tiel too! :D

This is mine, it's dimensions are 18"d x 30"w x 33"h.

I have Cookie and Bailee in it and they seem to have lots of space, so both them and me are very happy with it.:)

You are sooooo lucky! That's a great price, most of the time that is at least twice what you bought it for!

I've been posting that cage for everyone for the LONGEST time.. It seemed like everyone ignored the great price, what a shame.
Shes the first to actually buy it! lol.

If you go into petstores and look you'd be surprised what is labeled as a cockatiel cage. I see cages "for cockatiels" with dimensions like 18"x14" or 17"x15".. Its no surprise to me why many people come onto this board with cages too small as many people tend to trust petstores..even though they are only in it to make a quick buck and many don't care too much about the animal welfare. Hazardous toys have been sold for a really long time.

Yep I must admit I wish I had held out for a bigger cage now... but you need a cage when you first get your tiel anyway... so you kind of have to buy what the petstores have, and tend to go by their word. That being said, Arnie really loves his cage... the front door folds down so he can hang out on it... plus he's always out, it's more like a bedroom than a cage. The only I thing I hate is putting him in it for 9 hours twice a week whilst I'm at work.

It can be tough to find good cages for decent prices, especially if you need one asap. The hardest thing for me has been finding awesome cages at great prices that are parrot cages and thus have bar spacing that's too wide...quite frustrating. 1/2" bars are the only way to go. One day I'll find something super big and just what I want, but for now we're all content.
