I'd love to see what type of cage or aviary you have for your cockatiels! It would be helpful to people looking to set up a cage for a new tiel too! :D

This is mine, it's dimensions are 18"d x 30"w x 33"h.

I have Cookie and Bailee in it and they seem to have lots of space, so both them and me are very happy with it.:)

Wow, Lulu is a very lucky tiel to have a cage like that. ;)

With the rope, I have one of them and sometimes it'll be hard to bend it (and it's pretty thick) but I can see what you mean by not being able to bend it properly, maybe move it on the outside of the cage somewhere else, not sure if that will help.. or you could just try keep bending and get it to how you want it.. the ropes are really handy though, I love 'em.

I have the same cage as Bea :)

It needs more toys, but some are in his outside cage , and some are in the quarantine cage. Gotta save up and buy some more! He's hardly ever in his cage when Im home anyway :p

It came with ladders and platforms, since it can also be a small animal cage, i left one of the platforms in, and George loves it! Its his favorite spot.

are those tassels on the ring dangerous? should I cut it off? he likes to preen it, but has never climbed on it

I come home this afternoon from staying at a friends place to find my 2 males in a different cage. I was 'what the heck?' at first, and then was told by my mum that she had went and got them a new cage.

Of course it's not finished, as to why it looks so empty - I will be going to get them more toys when I get payed tomorrow and I gotta get them some sticks too.

They absolutely love it though.. so much more room and they're able to spread their wings more and fly around, go crazy.

(The top opens where you can put a perch there and they can sit on it, pretty much like Looleey's but no food dishes and etc).

What Great Cages!

Guess what!!! :tiel1:

I recently purchased a cage that is over 6 feet tall with a beautiful canopy for

DRUM ROLL PLEASE:

$50.00
No lie!
I am going to repaint it a color suitable for Chanel and then I will post pictures!!! A neighbor in the area came by and saw my flight aviary on my porch and offered it to me! :D

Now I have the flight, and 7 other cages. Ha! so many happy birdies!

Here are pictures of my new cage!!! My two budgies and my tiel share this cage, so instead of 2 cages to clean I only have 1!!! The birds are loving the cage are are much more active in it! I only put the cover up on the cage for the picture, it helped with lighting and allowing to see in the cage better...

It is pretty tall so I am thinking about taking it off the stand, but I like the wheels on the stand cuz I can move the cage around to clean it and vaccum under it (which it was cleaned this morning, but I took the pics this afternoon)...I know I can take the wheels of the stand, so I am wondering if I can put them on the legs of the cage........

***Just a note my birds have been raised since very young together and they have always been allowed outside time together with cage doors open and they would always go into each others cages, but I never had them sleep together...then I slowly introduced sleep time together and never had a problem with fighting. I have kept my other cages on hand for just in case something comes up.***

Tiel's cage and Budgie's too.

Here is Angel and Little Mikey's cage.

First pic is a side view before i was finished buying toys etc for cage.

Second is completed and view from the front.

And this is Bon & Angus's cage. They rarely use the bottom half so maybe I will update the cage at some point to one that is wider not taller...tho they do love being up high...

Budgie's in top half.

The cockatiels have a playgym too but they prefer to use me as their toy haha.

I'm so glad to hear that! I've had a lot of trouble finding the perfect cage. A lot of them are a good height, but are only about 20-24 inches wide and I definitely wanted something wider. It's a steal at $90, so I'll definitely get it. Thank you!

The bars are horizontal and apparently spaced 1cm apart vertically and are about 5cm long horizontally, so they seem to be fine.

I found the cage in the local Messenger classifieds, according to the seller it was brand new and purchased for some budgies, but they managed to get a larger cage from a breeder friend so they're selling it and it's never been used. I couldn't believe the price!
