I haven't been seeing any posts from moderators. A lot of new members have posted with questions and gotten no replies. I try to help if I can, but I am not much of an expert when it comes to cockatiel questions. Have the moderators quit? Not criticizing, just asking!

Yes, the moderators quit several months ago. There's a thread about it here: https://www.talkcockatiels.com/showthread.php?t=158666

It was never their job to answer all the questions - a moderator's only responsibility is to keep the peace. They tried to answer all the questions anyway because they're good people. But they were volunteers who had other things to do with their lives, and I can tell you from experience that this stuff gets old after a while. Forums like this exist so that the members in general can help each other.

OK, thanks, Vicki! I am sorry; I must have missed that post. I knew it had been a long time since I had seen any posts from moderators. And I apologize for misinterpreting the moderators' position here. I really the appreciate the advice I had been given by you, Roxy and some of the others. Yes, I have noticed a change in the forum.
