I'm starting to think their magical creatures on par with the phoenix or something LOL. Before we got Echo my Dad had no interest in any of my animals, I had to call him from school on hot days to remind him to put out the various cooling devices we use to keep all the animals comfortable, it would never register in his mind that they might be feeling as hot as he was. But he's fallen in love with Echo its soo strange, if I can't be home for an afternoon Dad will take him out give him social time then settle him somewhere with his toys where he can keep an eye on him... without being asked. Now he's suggested I build a second playgym so rather then being locked in his cage all day while I'm at school Echo can spend the day in Dad's office (he works from home) out of his cage, like huh?

Then Mum has changed to, before we got Echo she'd made me make a deal that if he showed any signs of discomfort at his captivity I'd rehome him somewhere where he could live in a large aviary with other 'tiels. Now I can't see Mum ever wanting to see Echo go, she spends time chatting to him just as much as Dad does, and she will also give him playtime when I'm away.

Like what? LOL Dad especially hates birds but adores Echo, it is so strange, I think Echo has magic LOL.

We're used to seeing dogs and cats in the home as pets, but to most people birds are wild and a birdfeeder is the closest contact you have, besides groaning about bird poo on your car windshield. So when you have this cute fluffy ball of feathers wanting human attention and being interactive and affectionate with you, it really surprises a lot of people.

Can't count the number of friends who've remarked "Are his wings clipped, wow, he doesn't fly away?" when I have a flighted bird perched on my shoulder while walking around the apartment and doing laundry.

Cockatiels must be magic  My Mom asked the other day if she could buy an air freshener she seen and if it was ok for the birds. I said of course no it would hurt them. And Spike does not even like my Mom, lol. So it must be magic :p

Hmmm yup their magic LOL.

Dads totally paranoid about me touching his tools, everything I've built has been with a hammer and nails since Dad thinks I'll break his tools. But he just asked if I'd like to be shown how to use the power drill so I can make a better playgym, like wha? This is all in aid of Echo of course hmmm LOL> He's also teaching Echo some bad habits, everytime he leaves the room Echo shrieks his head off and Dad comes back it's getting so irritating LOL, I don't want a screamer.
