Hello! I am new to cockatiel genetics (and also this forum -- hi :pied:), but I'm curious what the babies of my cockatiels would look like if I bred them one day. My male cockatiel is a regular gray. My female (probably, fingers crossed!) cockatiel is a whiteface pearl (pretty sure about that, but just because when I look up whiteface pearl, the pictures look just like her).

My female bird's dad was a whiteface, but I don't know what her mom looked like. My male bird came from a pet store, so I have no idea what his parents were like.

My female bird had a sibling who was very brown.

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day! ^^

Hello there and welcome to the forum! :)

There is a helpful app you can download on your phone called Cockatiel Color Palette. You enter in your pair's mutations and splits and it gives you accurate results on what the babies will potentially look like as well as the percentage of male and female chicks' mutations.

It depends for what the cock splits for. If you lucky he might split pearl the most chicks will be pearl. otherwise all grey chicks and cocks will split pearl
Pearl is sex-linked. So pearl cock's hen chicks will all be pearl
