Hi everyone. We adopted a baby normal gray cockatiel (about 3 months old) around a week ago. I'm waiting for the results of the sexing test because I couldn't wait another 6 or so months for the first molt :)

Anyway, the baby has had a couple spritzer baths and has enjoyed it, but I noticed a bump on their underside.. I'm not sure if it's normal or something I should go back to the vet for. They already had a wellness exam after we took them home.

The bump looks like it's on the end of the keel bone and above the vent. I noticed it when the feathers were wet. I couldn't find anything about it on google, but I'm hoping it's a normal part of the anatomy and not some kind of growth of abscess.

I've never noticed anything like that on my birds. It could just be a normal part of the body, where the keel stops, like our sternum.
