It was too large to open as a file for the website because it's 50+ mb, but what do these low toned chirps mean that Calliope makes while I'm giving her scritches? Are these happy chirps? She tends to relax the crest just before I pet her. At first I took it as a sign of aggression before she started letting me actually pet her pet her because she'd lower it just before trying to nip me, but I'm not so sure now since she accepts accepts petting and I want to know, lol.

Right now she may be a little unsure of just what she wants. When a tiel lowers there head, that usually means they WANT there head scratched. Once they get use to your hand and learn to love the scratches, be ready to do it often. The little chirps probably just means she wants your attention.

Aww!! Yeah, she has grown quite used to me within a few weeks of having her. I was surprised when she finally let me give her head scratches, because she comes over to me for it quite often now. Thank you for your reply, Rob!
