In our computer room, we have a rabbit, a guinea pig and Dooby. I never move any of them and they soon get used to it. It would just be impossible to move them out every time it needed vacuuming (thanks Dooby), in fact Dooby seems to chatter and whistle more when the vacuum is on!!! Leave them in the room and see what happens, you might be surprised that they take no notice at all, or they might start chattering and singing. lol.

Thanks for the advice. I have exotics for instance my sugar glider Boomer is moved every time I vacuume because they are really sensitive to loud noises I guess I automatically assumed birds would be also..

i vaccume with the birds out of thier cage, in thier cage it doesn't matter to them, I even use the attachments and vaccume the floors of the cage while they're in the cage, they really don't care,

Even when i used a very loud noisey shop vac (which i thought would scare the daylights out of them) it didn't bother them at all

I even move cages around to sweep behind, under etc and they normally just sit where ever they were when i started

Nope, I don't move them. I'd have to be moving them daily since I'm always vacumming (after them..lol). They all got use to it. Baby and Ziggy sit on the top of the cage and watch me and the budgies try and compete with the loudness of the vacumm..

My guys all love competing with the vacuum, trying to be louder. :p I really want to get a little hand held vacuum cleaner, because our normal one is much too big to drag out everytime the birds spill some seed.
