It's been over a month since Jitterbug and Bluestreak passed away and over 2 months since Foster and Windblade passed. So far no one else has died (YAAAAY!!!). I cleaned out the wooden cage and have decided to keep it.

Then on Monday a lady I have been in contact with for 4 years said she had a White Capped Pionus she was willing to give me. All I have to do is pay for shipping and a carrier. I've been wanting a chick off this lady for four years so I am STOKED! He - August - is a retired breeder who has proven to be infertile. So yeah. Going from 9 birds, to five then up to six again is playing with my heart strings :p Going to clean the wood cage again to make sure August doesn't die on me either as it's the only cage I have right now big enough for him. When the time comes, I'll get a new cage. A power cleaning out of paranoia can't hurt, eh?

SO yeah. Cockatiels, Conures and Pionus', OH MY!

That's both great news :) congrats!

I'm wondering if you ended up getting any of your birds checked up on though, just to rule out a contagious disease?
