Amazing homemade toys everyone..... i have been inspired!

Just ordered some pony beads from ebay. But i was wondering.... i've been looking at lolly sticks, and some are brightly coloured. Would they be safe for my tiel to chew?

Also, i may have missed it, but is there a list of materials that are good for making toys?

My main concern is the use of dyes, paints that could chip off etc, that could cause harm.

Most of the Popsicle sticks that are dyed are fine - its non toxic for kids

but if you your not sure what they're dyed with, you can get plain ones and do it your self with either Food coloring, or Cake icing coloring (its what i used and its safe)

but the only thing I don't like about the colored ones is when the bird gets wet and rubs on them the colors runs off onto the bird(s)
