Last month, my 12 year old Tiel molted two months in a row. I thought it was really weird he molted two times so close together, but I figured maybe his body clock got messed up somehow and it was re adjusting itself. A few weeks later I took him in the shower and he got SOAKED like there was no oil on him at all.
I checked his gland, and sure enough... No oil.

After taking him to the vet, he said it's probably just a clog and put some moist heat on it and massage it. He thought his diet was really great so that wasn't the issue.

Today, I noticed he started molting AGAIN!! Now it's the third month in a row! I've tried to give him extra fruits and veggies over the past month just in case.
Now I don't know what's going on!

Any ideas??

Oh gosh! Are his feathers dry again too? I can't imagine what's going on there, but maybe a red palm oil supplement like Harrison's sunshine factor would help with oil production?
