Well, still working with Tiki trying to get him to step up... so have been opening the cage everyday...he has a perch right by the door he likes, put my finger on the perch, close to him and say step up... and giving him the opportunity to come out. Decided I'm not going to force the issue, just give him time to adjust...

He hasn't been coming out, just moves to the back of the cage.. but today I opened the door, and out he flew to the floor, tho't I would just stand back, talking to him and see what he would do, then see if he would step up in order to get back to his cage... but he had other ideas... I have the dogs crate close to the cage...because of limited space.. smart little Tiki eyed out the situation, climbed the dogs crate and jumped back into his cage.... took him about about a minute to figure this out...

We will get there I hope...

He is funny... has this little dance he does from time to time... we will get there, just taking time... its disgusting that going to work interfers with having fun and time to spend with him... am sure getting him to step up and be more receptive would take less time if I didn't have to be gone 4 days a wk for over 10 hours a day.... but have to pay the bills too....

Today is my Friday.... so will be home 3 days again....
