As promised, here are some photos of my Cockatiels...
First are Tweetie (Normal Grey hen) and Buddy (Light Pied split to Pearl male). They are a bonded pair and about 6 years old...
Then we have Lokie (Cinnamon Pearl Whiteface hen) and Tango (Lutino hen). Tango is 4 years old and Lokie is about 3 years old...
Then we have Homari (Normal Grey split Lutino Cinnamon Pearl and Pied male). He is 8 years old...
Then we have Stryder (Dominant Silver (SF) Whiteface split to Cinnamon Lutino Pearl male). He's 4 years old...
Lastly we have Ginnyra, or Ginny for short, (Dominant Silver (SF) split to Pied hen). She's 5 years old. Her and Stryder are a bonded pair as well...
Only Tango and Lokie came to me as babies, the others were rehomes. Out of them all, only Ginny can't be handled. She's a bit of a nervous bird so I don't push her. Homari isn't big on being handled either, but he does okay to step up. Stryder was a big surprise for me and his former owner. She was under the impression that he wasn't hand tame at all. But within a day or two of living here, my younger son had him stepping up and was able to pet him and give him scritches. He's a very affectionate bird, who loves to serenade me....lol It didn't take him long to steal my heart
In the next few months, I plan on setting up a pair (or two, I haven't quite decided yet), and then we'll have some babies around. It's been a while since we had any tiel babies in our house, so we're all looking forward to that
So that's my tiel crew, thanks for looking
