Temporary cage??

Hi y’all! I’m getting a young (I will know what age Wednesday) cockatiel on Thursday and it is doubtful that my cage will come in the mail before then. I’m thinking that I could buy a cheap plastic container and drill holes in it for a temporary cage but I’m really not sure.. Any suggestions?
