i was thinking that maybe a new thread for those who do not no about buying there first cockatiel or there first bird for things to look for and what to advoid and for those who do not no what is involved like how to clean the cage how often what the cockatiel needs will be

i just thought people who never had a tiel before or a bird need the it so they don,t get the wrong size cage or the wrong food stuff like that

A buying guide would be a good idea- it could include the link to Basic care and also some info like being weary of certain breeders, looking out for possibly ill tiels..etc..

and maybe what to watch out for in petstores when clerks try to sell you stuff just to make a sale i belong to the aquarium club here in town and a member of the club owns a pet store and only 2 members will go in there out of like 40-45 members
