Bullet is my hand-fed cockatiel which is a month old. This past few days, I observed that he eats less and sleeps a lot that I thought first its just because he is on diet stage because he will fly soon. But, I saw him struggles when pooping, sometimes he pushes a lot but just a little poop will come out. I also saw that his tail always seems upward even when he is sleeping. Is it normal? We already make his formula thinner and put some dehydrating powder so he can regain his strength. Today, he looks recovering because he is more playful than past few days and eat better now but he still struggles to poop.

Take him to the avian vet. Whenever a bird has poopin' problems, that's a vet's area and will possibly need antibiotics, depending on what the issue is. My Older Birb has pooping issues and I took her to the vet multiple times; we're still getting to the bottom of the issue, and you will need a qualified avian vet to give him a once-over and have a faecal examination as well as a feel around the area. Good luck!
