I have noticed on Lee that he had two white blotches on the back of his neck I noticed them months ago but wasn't sure if they were there all along  then I was thinking maybe because he was male white face it was just white going around the back of his neck, I have never seen a white face male split to pied so I really didn't know much, the more I see him and observe I believe he is split to pied I have tried to get a picture of the back of his head but it just comes up a white blur so for all the experts out there am I correct on him being split to pied with the two white blotches on the back of his neck he has white on the back of his crest then its grey behind his head then there is the two white blotches down at the bottom on the back of his neck.

Well the pictures didn't come out very good but its the best I could do with my camera most are coming out as one white blur when its not if you look at him from behind its white then grey and the two separate blotches down by his neck area the camera is just not showing it how we see it the back of his head even looks whiter in this pic then it does when you look at him, it doesn't really matter if it is or isn't I was just curious as to why he had these blotches :p

hmmm... that may be pearlings (as Bea said) on Lee, or it may infact be split to pied spot. Personally, I see some patches (indicating his pied gene) ;)
You might not ever know (visually) as his face is starting to turn white, and sometimes the back of males faces turn colour aswell (not that common though). Do you have pictures of the back of his head when he was younger? I know he has/had pearls when he was young, but if there was a significant patch of white (more than his regular pearlings) then it may be easier to see :)

ps- Spike... Spike is pied... definately lol. Is that what you were asking? Pied's patterning can vary drastically from brid to bird.

No I don't have a picture of the back of his head just the front of course, the picture I put up is not a very good one it doesn't really show the patches as well as when you look at him I am going to try and get a better picture of him.

Ok I got a better picture of him as you can see in this one the back of his head is not all white like it looks like in the first one I put up of him, don't know why it came out like it was all white when the back of his head is mostly grey you can only see the one white spot on this one I couldn't get the other one he was not cooperating ....lol
