I just noticed today that Buster has a swollen area next to her beak. I gently felt it and it was warmer than normal, and it is normal flesh/pink color. I'm wondering if it's because she's been chewing and rubbing her head on a hanging foraging toy made of cardboard.
I'm really worried, and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this or has advice. I will be taking her to the vet asap.

Can you post a picture? Most likely a feather cyst or a tiny abscess. The vet will probably drain it and may prescribe topical antibiotics.

I can't tell if that's a feather cyst or just some irritation. Either way, I don't think it will be something major, but good to get it checked out in case it needs meds or draining. :)

My budgie has this too, I'm going to treat her with Ivermectin as I think mine may be Mites..
