I performed my first slow crop procedure tonight. I have a 2 week old named Tiny who I started hand feeding 3 days ago. I've noticed that his crop was not fully empty by the time for his next feeding. He also seemed hungry all the time too.

After reading up on the emergency stickies about what to do, I believe I was successful.

I repeated to process twice to hopefully alleviate the issue. Since it was the middle of the night, I used 3ml of warm water to dilute his crop...turned his head downward and massaged his crop upward. I was quite surprised to find seed fragments in what came out of his crop. He has been separated from his parents for 3 days.

Could these seed fragments caused his slow or sour crop?

He is resting now overnight and will get his food in the morning.
