A while ago my Bright Eyes passed away. My other tiel, Romeo, I thought had been doing okay but today I noticed he was acting very off. More like when I first got him. He’s calling constantly and he appears to be friendly with my other birds but then he turns around and starts a fight. Should I give him more time, attempt to rehome him, or consider purchasing another tiel? He has not lost weight and his appetite is good as well. He appears to be fine aside from his mood. He’s nippy, wants nothing to do with me or his toys, and over all just…. Depressed, I’d think. I could try and give him a box? I really don’t know.

I am SO sorry to hear you just lost your bird Bright Eyes! Was it all of a sudden or did she go down hill for a few days? I would for sure give your other bird Romeo a little time to recover himself. Put yourself in his place, You'd be a little upsat too if you just lost YOUR mate. You could TRY getting another tiel but there's no gaurantee Romeo would bond with it. Again, I'm sorry for your loss but please don't give up on him.
