I have a one year old what I believe to be female peid cockatiel.. I have a camera where I can see her in my room while I am at work.. she is constantly calling out all day long.. If I get her a friend will this subside? I hate to see her stressing!

awh, maybe a friend would suit her! I have a cockatiel, she lives by herself, and shes perfectly happy, to be honest, she doesn't really like other birds, but thats just her personality. If she is calling out for other tiels, maybe you should. On average, how long does she stay outside of her cage..? Birds who are kept along require a lot of attention and lots on enrichment. I take my bird out about 5-10 hours a day, but you don't need to take her out for too long. If you are finding you only have 1-2 hours for her, a friend would be nice
