Hi, I’m new to this forum. I’ve had cockatiels pretty much all my life although they’ve always been female and I’ve never had any problems. I now have a male cockatiel who is about 1 year old and new female cockatiel who is about 5 months. Oreo the male is very hormonal, and screams constantly. I’ve tried the 12-14 hrs of darkness, it’s not working. They are both in separate cages as she is still really young but he is absolutely obsessed with her. They always have to be together as he will start panicking if he can’t see her. He is not tame at all and we’ve had him for about 5 months now. We can’t touch him, or go anywhere near him as he has always been quite aggressive. I’m at my wits end about what to do here regards the screaming, we live in a flat and neighbours have started to complain. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Would advise you to cover them at night and day if they get too loud and switch off your TV it will help

Thank you. I’ve been doing the 12-14 hours of sleep and it seems to be working. He seems to much calmer
