Hi everyone, I think my cockatiel, Kimchee, may be sick. Maybe a respiratory infection. She puffs up on her perch and closes her eyes. Her droppings are very watery and she keeps doing this weird thing with her mouth. She keeps opening and shutting her mouth, fast. She used to do that after she drank water but now she does it for no reason.
We got a new bed last Friday and they coated it with something that smelt very strong. By the time we finished building it, I didn’t notice the smell anymore so I let her sleep in the same room. But when I woke up, I smelt it again. Should I take her to the vet?
