I have an issue with my cockatiel. My cockatiel has a blood red pimple like sty on his eye. I haven't had any luck with getting him an appointment with an avian doctor. He has an appointment until next week. I went to a pet store and they told me to apply Terramycin on his eye. I've applied it twice and it seemed to have popped. I can see a tiny hole in that area and a white thing that looks like what you would get when you pop a pimple. Just want to know if that's a good sign and will he be okay until I get him to vet next week?

I don't see anything that looks like a pimple just the redness IN his eye! No, that is for sure not normal but atleast your doing the RIGHT thing by getting him the the vet asap. How is the bird acting? Is he eating and active at all? Please keep us updated when he see's the vet.

He seems to be well. He still calls us and wants to spend his time with us and still has his usual "conversations" with me when I talk to him(he's the spoiled one). He seems to be acting his usual self. I'm very concerned but him acting his usual self keeps me at ease. I have 3 other tiels so I'm keeping them away from him just in case. I got an appointment until Tuesday so I will be taking him in. And yes, thank you. I will be updating you and what the vet says.
