So, does anyone know how to read leg bands? :'D
EAL FL 2136 JT

This is the number on a friend's tiel's leg band and we were curious. ^_^

This is the number on a friend's tiel's leg band and we were curious. ^_^

EAL must be the banding agency, FL means Florida he place he hatched, 2136 must be the band number, JT must be the breeders mark.

EAL I can only assume means something along the lines of "Exotic Animal Legband". I am not familiar with all the banding agencies out there, but with a high number like 2136 these bands were likely used on other birds in addition to cockatiels
