Questions

Hey me and my tiel Angel:innocent: have some questions. How much time does an average tiel spend out of their cage?

What does it mean when tiels raise up there crest and keep them down?

Do most tiels like water?

If you do give your tiel a bath should it be in the shower, or in a huge bowl of water?

Should tiels have a lot of toys to be busy all the time or should you not put a bunch of toys.

And then how often should tiel s take a bath?

Thanks! We can't wait to hear from you! :tiel6::yes:

My guys get a minimum of 2hrs out of their cage each day, they tend to get more than that though, especially on weekends. :)

When a tiel is startled they will put their crest straight up, but they will also have their crest up but relaxed when they're happy. My guys will have their crest anywhere from up and relaxed to quite flat along their head when they're happy and relaxed.

Are you meaning to drink or to bathe in? Most tiels will enjoy a bath from time to time, but some like it more than others. My guys will roll around if they're in the mood for a bath and i have them in the shower or i'm misting them. If they're not in the mood for a bath they try to move away.

It really comes down to the individual tiels preference. My budgies will only bathe in a dish of water, and my tiels will only bath in the shower or if i'm misting them with a spray bottle.

You should put in a few toys that will keep Angel busy, but have many more so you can switch them around every week or two to keep her interested.

Once a week or more is ideal if your tiel likes bathing. They're very dusty birds and bathing keeps the dust down. My guys won't bathe more than every few days, and sometimes they don't want to bathe even that often.
