Caught my cocktiel making an odd squeaking noise. Never heard him do this before. It’s quick and high pitched. Is he annoyed, in pain or just being silly?

My tiel, Cheekie started making very weird sounds. We finally figured it out. He immitates the coffee grinder grinding and the microwave beeping. :tiel4::lol::lol: Makes perfect sense, right? ��

My last one would make the sound of a cordless phone dialing when we lived with my mom. She was just getting to the age where she needed reading glasses and was dialing by touch. It would mess her up so much to hear his little beeps because she thought she pressed the wrong button or too many buttons. Had to redial many times, lol.

How old is he? He is probably finding his voice and will start attempting to sing and whistle soon. Whistle back to him or play him a catchy song and he might start trying to mimic it or sing along in his own way.
