Quarantine...

1395 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Aly
so i got my new babies from a local petshop, i know the owner, and it is him who breeds them, i have seen his birds and the only illness he sometimes gets is sinusitis...(a type of cold)
now the two babies i have are clear for sinusitis... they are healthy little babies...
can i cut my quarantine short, being that i know the health history of these birds?...
i have to move soon, so it will make things easier if theyre not, but isnt impossible to keep quarantined....

It's always best to wait it out but I don't want to be a hypocrite..I've cut it short in the past. I just don't recommend it to others. There's always a risk no matter how healthy they seem.
That's true. Even a bird from a one bird home can have problems. That's the thing with birds. They hide their illness VERY well that's why it's SUPER important that you watch them constantly and take note of any changes at all.
