I got a new cockatiel from a parrot store about a month ago, and buckbeak was fine, but two weeks later, he started scratching his beak, sneezing, and chewing on his foot. Over the past few weeks he has been getting gradually worse at scratching. I tried getting him to an avian vet, but there all booked out till the end of october. buckbeak seems to be using his beak and feet just fine, but I’m not sure as a new cockatiel owner? I do not see anything wrong with his face, but has a tiny bit of white in between where the claw and foot connects. To more experienced owners, does this seem like mites?

Do not use over the counter mite medications whatever you do. It looks like mites. You may need to disinfect the cage and maybe have an exterminator come for the house. This is something that needs a vets care.
Oh god, I'm worried. Just wiped down his cage with water and gave him a bath, his poop changed today...hes pooping less, it smell's horrible, and its sticky and rubbery. He also has been barely eating or drinking anything.
