Spring has arrived...for the last 2wks Anzac has been displaying in the evening as dusk sets in. Anzac was sold to me as a male but after googling I think this might be a female display, head down arse up and squeaking/calling. Am I correct or...just some random display Anzac exhibits?

Hi there, yes this is the female mating display. Anzac is a girl!

You should remove the toy she is rubbing up against or relocate it to somewhere else in her cage where she can't press herself up against it.

You also need to start some hormone control. I have linked the Sticky thread on hormone control here.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions.

I kind of wondered already since Anzac wasn't a whistler despite hr after hr, day after day playing training audio tracks. The toy is a mirror with bell which Anzac likes to feel when displaying.

The hormone is a great read...thanks.
