Recently my tiel Bella has been holding her wings away from her body, not tucking in her feet and hardly beak grinding while relaxing. We have just visited the vet, though, and he couldn't seem to find anything wrong with her. He felt her crop and her whole body, checking especially for egg binding (she's been laying and sitting on eggs) but apparently couldn't find anything.

Is this just something she's doing because she's slowly been losing interest in her nest and is adjusting to not sitting on eggs all the time again? I can't think what could be wrong with her, especially since apart from this she's been as active as ever with normal droppings. Any answers appreciated!

What is the environment temperature housing her? Bird only have wing away from body when over-heated. If ambient temperature is high 80s F or above, this may happen.

I just notice she is on eggs. When bird on eggs, bird body temperature will increase to incubate egg, which may cause over heating issue if ambient temperature is too high.

It is quite warm where we are since it's summer at the moment so that might be it, though I notice she does it even on days when it's not too warm. I think you're right though and that it's due to her incubating, so thank you!
