Hey everyone👋! I'm new here, my name's Estella and I'm close to bringing home a sweet little cockatiel 🥳! I stumbled across this forum and decided to join :). I have a a question about housing... I have narrowed down the cages down to two-

Option 1- https://www.amazon.co.uk/Monumart-Cockatiel-Lovebird-Birdcage-Durable/dp/B07FFTLS1Y/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Yaheetech+52"&qid=1595879865&sr=8-3

Option 2- https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005CAY8QA/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza

Option 1 dimensions- 79 x 51.8 x 94.5 cm (LxWxH) OR 31.1" x 20.4"x 37.2" with 1.5cm/0.6" bar spacing

Option 2 dimensions-77x 54 x 91 cm (LxWxH) OR 30.3"x 21.25"x 35.8" with 1cm/0.4" bar spacing

Option 1 has no feeder doors, just two main front doors.
Option 2 has one main front door and two upper feeder doors.

In terms of volume/internal space, option 1 is bigger ( Option 1- 386,713 cm², Option 2- 378,378 cm²)
However, I'm worried about the gap on option 1 between the thick horizontal bar through the middle of the panels and the vertical bars- I'll attach a picture to illustrate. Thank you so much in advance to anyone who replies, it means a lot to me 🥰! Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hiiii, so, the bigger the better. The cage size usually depends on how much ur tiel will be in the cage. If you go to school or go to work, you should get the biggest cage possible. But if you are homeschooled, or ur tiel is usually out of the cage and its only there to eat and sleep, it can be a smaller cage. There is a youtube channel of this girll that is very good at giving advvice called live laugh birds.
Hope this helps
