Recently, my cockatiel did two laps around my room flying around, and when he landed, i saw his mouth was open and he was visibly and audibly panting. Is this normal? He's about 10 weeks old.

I think this is normal as mine is 3 years old and does this too! They do this because unlike other birds they are not flying all the time so are not as fit as other normal birds in the wild, but nothing to worry about.

Trust me its normal.
Matey is a four yr old male and each morning when I open the cage door for him, he flies out and does 4 or 5 laps around the kitchen.

It is the same nearly every morning 4 or 5 full speed laps around the kitchen.
at the same time he shrieks and chatters, so I know he is happy doing this.

Yes, he lands and pants for a few seconds. This bird does heaps of flying in the several hours a day he is out of his cage.

I am sure Matey is not out of condition. It's quite normal as far as I can tell.
