I am thinking of getting this aviary for our fids outside playtime and just being birds time.

It will be 3.6m long x 1.8m high x 90cm wide (not the standard 1.2m). That will still be wide enough for flying I assume.
I also assume that all bought aviarys are made with bird safe materials? (This one has zinc cladding - will I need to scrub it down with vinegar?)

Our male (partially tame) has really relaxed with the 2 girls now and is less jumpy and on edge in their company (even if they do come up on his blind side occassisionally and make him cranky)

Yes it will need to be scrubbed, zinc is harmful to birds. It looks big enough for flying and stuff but catching them is gonna be a pain for sure lol.

Shouldn't be too hard with the tame girls, spot on with the boy though.
I have just measured it out on the ground - eek, I will ask if they do 2.6m ones instead as that one is waaay to long to go where I want it.

Lucky birds! I'd love to have an aviary like that but I'm in an apartment. Le sigh.

Where you getting this aviary?

New play area has arrived

Well I went and picked it up and put it together a few weeks ago and now I finally have gotten around to taking some photos of the teils new play area

and the windy weather has kindly provided some new toys to amuse them - they love picking off the nuts and dropping them all over the floor

I am using the large branch they were all attached to as the main branch in the aviary for the moment, until they destroy it.
They just love their outside time.
