OK, here's my question. I found out a while ago that onions are toxic to tiels and should not be fed. I have to admit I did not know that before and Baby use to love going to fetch pieces of onion in the salad bowl. She has a plate on our table with her food and she would go get onions and bring them back to her plate to eat. It was cute that she really loved onions and I never thought anything of it. This wasn't an everyday thing-just once or twice a month when we went to my parents to eat. After I found out I stopped letting her have them but I am wondering if they are so toxic why nothing happen to her and why she loves them so much...
she probably just didn't eat enough of the onions to make it toxic for her I honestly didn't know they were toxic either although i don't have onions in my house I hate them....lol
I hate them too but my mom adds onion to her tomato salads. (YUCK)...Baby would pick out a bunch of pieces and put them on her plate..I won't let her now that I know...it was on that list for a reason I guess.
