Night Terrors causing bleeding

Hey guys. I've been a cockatiel owner for a little under a year now. Twice now my cockatiel has had a night terror/ been spooked by a new noise in the might and he hurt himself both times where there was a little blood. Neither time was too bad, acting and even flying just find (both times his wings were hurt) but I won't be able to see a vet for a day or two this second time. Does anyone have any advice to keep the area clean or anything like that until we can see the vet? I don't want him to get an infection or anything like that, doing something would make me feel a lot better.
(Night terrors have stopped and the second one was an isolated incident because I had a suitcase in my room. But any advice on preventing any potential problems in the future to stop him getting hurt is also welcome!)
