Hey guys. I've been a cockatiel owner for a little under a year now. Twice now my cockatiel has had a night terror/ been spooked by a new noise in the might and he hurt himself both times where there was a little blood. Neither time was too bad, acting and even flying just find (both times his wings were hurt) but I won't be able to see a vet for a day or two this second time. Does anyone have any advice to keep the area clean or anything like that until we can see the vet? I don't want him to get an infection or anything like that, doing something would make me feel a lot better.
(Night terrors have stopped and the second one was an isolated incident because I had a suitcase in my room. But any advice on preventing any potential problems in the future to stop him getting hurt is also welcome!)

I have a night light in the room where my boy sleeps and when I cover him, I always leave a small opening for him to see out if he wants. Don't know if that will help your cockatiel's night terrors but just thought I'd throw that info out to you. Hope things go well with your guy.
