Hello everyone,

I just joined this website, what a great place! Thank you Bea for the idea and directions re: this website.

Today I bought a cockatiel, it is your typical grey with pale yellow face and orange cheeks. I have not named it yet. My husband said that I should let the name happen as I get to know my new friend.

I do not know if it is a boy or a girl, the shop keeper where I bought him/her told me that she 'thought' it was a he. I checked a website for gender characteristics and I am still unsure, as I am not sure either of its age either. He/she looks like a young bird and I was assured it was.

Anyhow, good to meet you and I shall keep in touch. As soon as I get a pic of my tiel I shall post it.

welcome to the forum yes we do love pics not sure if this will help but my stretch who is male does the wolf whistle verry voiceterious bops his head up and down taps the table like a woodpecker he even taps the bars on his cage
