Hello, I hope someone could give me some insight to this problem.
I just got a new tiel today from a local pet store, and even though she looks totally healthy and the behaviour is very active for a first day, she regurgitated a few times some half an hour ago. I had a very bad experience before when I bought an already sick tiel from a similar pet store, he was regurgitating a lot and after getting more health complications, he died in a few months. I'm afraid it could be the same case, even though this new tiel looks quite active and healthy, as I said. Usually my experience is that the bird is still and cautious for a few days, maybe not even eating or drinking - this one is chirping, going around the cage, exploring, biting stuff, trying very badly (and unsuccessfully) to establish some amicable contact with my older tiel (he's still afraid of the newcomer!), so maybe the regurgitation could be a sign of stress because of changing the environment, or just a reaction to new food? The first few droppings she had in the morning were watery and pale, but now I see she is starting to have more darker green and solid droppings. The stuff she regurgitated look like it's from the crop, not vomited.
Thanks for your advice! :tiel5:
