I’ve always wanted to get a puppy/dog and now that I finally have settled into my own home (completed landscaping etc) I was thinking of looking into one. The only issue that is making me think hard is my pet cockatiel who is 19 years old. He has a large cage that he is in and I put it outside when I am home. Sometimes when he comes inside I’ll open up the door and pull his tray out and he’ll sit on the edge but not always - it happens less now as I guess he is getting old.
does anyone have any experience with getting a new puppy/dog when they already have a bird they can share with me?
I am about to go on 5 weeks holidays as I’m a teacher so I did think christmas holidays are the best time to get a dog as I’ll be home for a long period of tome
