Hello everyone, I am a 15 year old who just recently purchased a cockatiel. His name is Benji and he is doing all around pretty well. He is so well adjusted the, however, the first day he came home he would hiss at everything and anything. However, now he is so sweet and loves to be handled and taken out of his cage. And mind you this is only after a week of getting him. No training had to be done. I am afraid he is getting a little TOO attached. Any tips, please include in replies. I'll take anything I can get but I have done extensive research and research everyday about behavior exhibited by my new companion.

How old is Benji and was he hand raised? That's awesome that he is taming down easily but I understand what you mean by him getting too attached to you. How does he act around other people?
