Hello, I am the proud owner of three beautiful cockatiels and one parakeet.
I got Gary, my fav and first cockatiel, about three years ago for Christmas. My mom and I was planning on getting a simple parakeet instead but I fell head over heels in love with Gary! In the petshop he was a fluffed up bird who would mimic my whistles with ease. But once I brought him home he didn't talk or sing. He sat in his cage scared, and hissed at anything that came to close.
Now Gary, and Sassy the parakeet (Originally my sisters bird, but she left her hear when she moved out) share a cage together (Sassy snuck out of her and into his and never went back) Sassy is a little bossy but Gary seems to be good friends with her.
Last year my sister was given two Lutino cockatiels in a very smal cage. She insantly gave them to me without warning or my permission. When we got the birds thier cage hadn't been cleaned out in forever (At least one year!) Also, they were absolutly terified. Thier previous owner only fed and watered, nothing more! Today I finaly saved up enough money and got a large cage for them. They seem to love it!
While Gary and Sassy fly around freely in our living room, the other two cant fly at all, and prefer thier cage.
Opps, sorry for droning on like that! Well, now you know everything about my bird buddies! ♥
