Hi, guys. I need some advice for something that I fear I may know the answer to already.
A few days ago, my cockatiel, Princess, woke up with with a diarrhea issue during the middle of the night. I cleaned her up a bit, and she seemed fine. It seemed like a one off thing. She was behaving normally.
Yesterday, she seemed like her appetite was down a bit. She seemed to breath a bit harder. She was rocking back and forth a bit when breathing. She has no discharge from her mouth, nose, wheezing or anything else.
Today, she has not eaten much. She is a bit unsteady with her perching, she’s still doing that heavy breathing thing, and she appears to be molting.
Has anyone had this problem? If so, what was it? Do you have any advice? I called my only exotic vet’s office. The soonest they can get her in is on Monday. I’m worried to death. Is it possible this could all be due to her molting? I don’t know what to do. There’s no one around me that sees exotics. Thank you all for any advice.
