I need a cheap, but temporary cage to house Bella. It would only be a few days. As long as the bar spacing was fine would a cage meant for a parakeet, or even smaller, be an acceptable place to keep Bella? It's not like she'd do anything but sleep in it anyways.
I only have $50 to spend or I won't be able to afford shipping without digging into the emergency vet fund. So yes, I can go up to $200 for a cage but I'd rather not in case Bella needs a vet visit. It would be a temporary cage so it can be on the small side as long as it's safe. I tried hunting but I don't have much time and so far all the other so-called Cockatiel cages in my price range are those stupid starter kit or badly shaped decorative cages that look SO unsafe.
My though was either a reliable place/seller to buy a used cage from, or trying to find a smaller but still good cage. Is this even possible? Will I have to go to my parents for financial help and shell out the money for a good cage? I feel silly when she has a perfectly good cage at home, albeit one too big to take with me when I drive home.
